This is a strapless ruched mermaid gown with a gathered train and covered buttons in silk shantung. I absolutely love this dress because of its unique cut on the side and back, the gorgeous lines, the natural ruching and simple train. It is simple, elegant and classic. There were originally three layers of crenoline - I removed two layers, which adds to a sleeker line and less of a princess skirt.
- DRESS ALTERATIONS
- I ordered a size 10 bridal, as the boutique suggested because I was between an 8 and a 10 a that time. I had three fittings done and they took in the waist, length and bust. I had cups sewn in, which have been removed, which gives a extra room, in case you are bigger busted or need support like I did (I am a 34C). When I wore this dress I was a size 4. The measurements are as follows: bust: 35", waist: 28", hips: 37".

- This dressed was professionally cleaned immediately after the wedding and sealed in a box for a year. It is in excellent condition - I could not have been more happy with the cleaning, the dress is like new.
