Stunning custom-made champagne silk-satin wedding gown impeccably designed and hand-sewn by The Dressmaker, Kristen Olsen, of Minneapolis, MN. Super-flattering, elegant yet sexy modified sweetheart neckline complimented by ruched bodice, fitted through hip and gentle a-line skirt. The back of the dress features romantic gathers and covered buttons crowning a perfect French bustle.
Martina Liana style 214 was the inspiration for this dress. I could not locate a sample of the designer gown to try on and figured for the investment, I'd rather be part of the design and production process rather than order a dress, wait several months for it to arrive only to alter it anyways - all while hoping for the best! The result is even better than the original. Yes, the construction is excellent, the silhouette is uber-feminine and perfect for curves (or creating them, for that matter) but the real detail that makes this gown so very special is simply gorgeous fabric. I felt candle-lit from within because of the warmth and incandescence of this luscious fabric. This was easy to wear, wonderful to dance in and truly flattered my figure (at the time, I was 155 lbs and I'm 5'6" so this dress is probably an 8 or a 10 but could be altered to fit, of course).
Currently, the satin belt (which is a separate piece) is not included - it is hand-beaded with irridescent crystals and I'd like to keep it for sentimental value - HOWEVER, if that is a deal-breaker for you, as it is a wonderful detail that pulls the gown together, I would consider selling (I still have my jewelry, veil, fascinator, etc., after all).
I have the bag and the shoes to match if you're interested! I will be sad to let this piece of my heart go - but I so enjoyed wearing this gown in October 2010, and I believe that it should go and have more adventures, bringing joy and beauty into the wedding day of another very lucky bride. This dress cost more than $3k originally, worth every penny. I will have the dress professionally cleaned and inspected/adjusted by the Dressmaker herself, OR if you'd like to take the dress as-is I'd be willing to negotiate. It's in great shape, naturally it just needs to be freshened after a long day of wear. This could be an amazing find for the clever bride so e-mail me if you're interested or want more/different pictures. I am open to reasonable offers, so let's do business.
