This is a beautiful, elegant dress. It is a true Maggie Sottero, that was purchased from Maggie Sottero directly. The dress is not available anymore from the designer. The crystals along the top of the chest, down the side, and down the back are beautiful. They didn't cause any chaffing on my arms like a "look alike" dress might. It was perfectly comfortable all night. The crystals are also very elegant, and not too "blingy" The look I was going for was simple elegance, and this dress was perfect for my style. It was definitely worth going with a designer dress. This is a very good deal.
- DRESS ALTERATIONS
- I made no alterations to this dress. I am 5"9, and wore 2-3 inch heels, and the dress was to the floor. I also am a 36 C bra size, and it was perfect. I didn't have to wear a bra. I am a size 12, and this dress in a 12 fit well. It would probably fit well for size 10, and also a little bigger than 12 because of the corsette back. You can make it tighter or looser as needed. Alterations that could be made to the dress include: straps, sleeves, taking it in, and shortening the length. I did have hooks made to hook the train up, but I thought that it could have been hooked a little higher. This is a very inexpensive alteration and would need to be re-done anyway if you alter the length.
- VEIL / HEADPIECE DESCRIPTION
- Short veil with hair comb to attatch to back of hair. Double layer so it can come over face if desired. Simple and elegant with satin lining at bottom.
- PRESERVATION METHOD
- Will come in clean garment bag. Was dry cleaned well after the event and has not been used since. It does not appear to have any blemishes. Only worn during bridal pictures and wedding day.
