This dress is a classically beautiful Vera Wang gown made from a beautiful ivory silk satin faced organza and has a very flattering mermaid silhouette. The neckline is a slight sweetheart with an empire waist and raffia sash that is tied in the back. There are also satin-covered buttons down the back where the sash is tied and where the zipper is located. The bottom of the dress is breath-taking, with gorgeous eyelet embroidery all the way around and a chapel train. The dress was originally a size 10, but was altered to fit a street size 2-4.
It was "love at first sight" for this dress - I saw it a year before the wedding, and jumped at the chance to buy it.
This dress is in great condition. I am selling it for less than the going rate for this Vera Wang dress because I understand that there are fewer brides available out at this height! So take advantage!
- DRESS ALTERATIONS
- The alterations of the dress were done by one of the area's most reputable seamstresses. The dress was hemmed to fit a 5'3" frame with 3-1/2" shoes. It was also altered to have a gorgeous tulip bustle, which continues to show the pattern of the beautiful eyelet embroidery, even when bustled. One simple tie creates the bustle.
