This is one of Monique Lhuillier's classic earlier designs: a simple sheath/trumpet and flare, with a silver/gray cumberbund at the waist, simple (small) silver/gray buttons down the back, and minimal embroidery on top. The picture shows full embroidery; I opted not to do full embroidery on the bodice but instead did a thin silver grapevine along the top border of the dress across the bustline.
I love this dress -- it is still my favorite among all Monique Lhuillier's designs. I loved wearing it; it is simply stunning, both in pictures and in person.

- I had the dress taken in slightly in the bodice. I was able to wear a bustier underneath.

- The dress is in pristine condition, worn once and then preserved by Madame Paulette, a custom couture garmet/wedding dress cleaner in New York, immediately after the wedding.
