This dress is an Exclusive Edition Allure wedding dress. I purchased it in April 2010. It is a mermaid style dress. It is asymmetrical over the hips, providing a beautiful transition from a very fitted bodice, to being less fitted below the hips. It is a very light ivory color (a little warmer than white). This dress has a beautiful tulle overlay (over the entire dress). The neckline has a slight curve (in between a straight across and sweetheart), which is very flattering. The back of the dress has 17 buttons that start at the top of the dress, however it is a zipper-close dress (the zipper is disguised by the button overlay). I am 5'6", and this dress was floor-length in the front on (I wore sandals with a 1/4 inch heel), and has a train in the back. It has a french-style bustle. I wore this dress with a ribbon style belt (with a floral applique), I tied the belt around the dress--I did not make any alteration to the dress to wear this ribbon. I wore this dress in the summertime and although it has many layers, it is light-weight and breathable, thus very comfortable to wear. I loved this dress and I received so many compliments on it (interestingly, guys really liked this dress--a few guys at my wedding told their girlfriends that it was their favorite wedding dress they had ever seen--coming from guys, that says something! :) I hope someone else can enjoy this dress as much as I did!
