This gorgeous dress is made of raw silk. I cannot tell you how many compliments I got on the fabric of my dress. It has a nice sheen but is not too shiny. Very elegant. Silk rose details on the train create a very pretty bustle and add a unique touch to the dress. I am 5'5 and I wore 4 inch heals putting me at 5'9 and it was perfect. I maybe could've gone with one more inch in height but if you will be taller than 5'10 this may not be long enough for you. I did not alter the length of the dress. I am a size 10 (sometimes 12 in jeans and sometimes 8 in dresses if they don't hug my big hips) I actually measured as needing the size 14 dress but seeing as the sample that was a size 12 fit me perfect we went with the 12. This dress is AMAZING at giving you a flatten tummy look. I am NOT as slender as I appeared to me at my wedding. Thank God for this dress!!! It has nice boning down the front and across the bust that helps the dress keep its shape. I personally preferred the neckline it came with but the owner of the boutique said that it was very easy to make into a sweetheart neckline if that is preferred.

This is a custom made couture dress by Alfred Sung in Raw Silk. It was made for the boutique that I bought the dress from in special fabric. It does not say Alfred Sung on the dress as it was custom made. But if you want to confirm the maker you can call Bliss Bridal in Stockton, CA. Apparently they've done this fabric modification for several boutiques as I see another bride on this site is selling the same gown in the same fabric but she added straps. (& is a much smaller size, but I"m adding those pics to show you what it looks like with straps) My dress was $2300 but I was able to get a small discount as the salon was having some event discount weekend when I came back to buy it. The discount basically took off the tax therefore keeping the dress at $2300. I also paid $300 to have the dress cleaned and $180 to have it bustled and tacked. In total I spent $2780 on this dress.
