On the search for my wedding dress, I was determined to find one that was beautiful, flattering, and most of all comfortable. This is a Nicole Miller Veronique Stretch Jacquard dress, and with some alterations, it was the perfect dress for me. I wore it for about 5 hours at my indoor wedding ceremony and reception last summer. I love the ruching through the waist and back and the beautiful texture of the dress. I hope you'll love it on your wedding day too!
If you flip the bottom part of the train inside out there are some small spots on the last 2 inches or so. Right side out, only one of these spots shows through a tiny bit (see picture of the fabric attached and look for the tiny black dot). When bustled, this doesn't show at all. Other than that, the dress is in great condition.
- DRESS ALTERATIONS
- Since I'm busty (36 DDD) I knew I wanted to be able to wear a regular, non-strapless, bra. I bought extra fabric and had wide straps (almost cap sleeves) added. The seamstress also added tiny 'loops' on the inside base of the straps where I could snap my bra in so that there was no chance the bra would show. Since the dress was originally quite low cut, I had extra fabric added to the inside 'v' part of it. The waist and hips of the dress were taken in from the original size 14 to fit my measurements. I'm 5'3 without shoes and wore 2 1/2 inch heels so the dress was hemmed to that length. I had a shawl made out of the extra fabric. I didn't use the shawl but you can wear it or use the fabric for any other alterations. There is a very short train and the seamstress added a beautiful bustle.
