Casablanca 1785
This satin cathedral length dress exudes simple elegance. The gown is a warm ivory / champagne color. The fitted strapless bodice features beautiful seed pearls and rhinestones sewn around the drop waist and in a small pattern up the front to about the belly button height. Below the drop-waist, the skirt opens into box pleats for an elegant fullness (the crinoline will add extra fullness). The back of the dress has matching beadwork/appliques which cover the zipper, box pleats to match the front, and has matching beadwork running down the back of the dress from waist to floor on the cathedral-length train. The back of the dress is what sold me on it, and looks gorgeous when bustled! Dress has bustle points built in.

I purchased this dress, veil, and crenoline 10 days before this posting (March 2008) from the Bridal Garden in NYC, which is a nonprofit that takes donated designer dresses and sells them at significantly reduced prices, while all proceeds go to childrens' charities.

While I love the dress, I'm selling it because it will be too formal for our barn wedding and I need the money for a different dress. As far as I could tell, the dress had not been worn before I purchased it, still had a Casablanca tag, and was spotlessly clean. It is gorgeous, and I never wore it other than trying it on in store and for additional photos. The dress has NO stains, but one small snap where the applique covering the zipper meets the dress needs to be sewn on tighter.

Veil/Headpiece Description:

I purchased a coordinating veil at the same time/location I purchased the dress. The veil matches the dress color in ivory tulle, and is edged in satin. It is fingertip length in a cascade style. So refined.
