- DRESS DETAILS

Kenneth Pool by Amsale ivory wedding gown - gorgeous beaded strapless bodice, sheath skirt, medium length train, low back. I'd describe the style as "modern vintage." I wore this at my evening wedding at the liberty hotel in boston.
I am a street size 2-4 and wore this dress without altering the bodice at all (so you know it is in perfect condition). There is a double zipper and boning in bodice which serves the function of a corset. I had the skirt shortened to accommodate my height (5'3" or 5'4") plus 4-inch heels.
Here are the reasons this dress is the best:
(1) not bulky! flatters your figure, is elegant, not too princess-like.
(2) the bodice is the most beautiful ever: it has an intricate pattern that doesn't include flowers, and if you're looking for a dress that isn't too floral, this one is for you.
(3) the back is not symmetrical (e.g., very hip! with a vintage feel, still): the long sashes on the back have a different beaded pattern on the end of each, and they are attached at delightfully different heights. the back of the dress is also low-cut, which i personally like very much.
(4) sparkly! this dress really shines. this is your chance to wear some sparkle in the most elegant way.
(5) i didn't spill a thing on it all night, miraculously: we had a cocktail-party wedding, and so there was no chance to drop any dinner food on it, and no drinks were spilled anywhere near it either, so you are getting a dress that does not have the war-wounds some used dresses do.
(6) this dress is slightly ivory, which i think is much more flattering on most people than stark white-- both looks more mature and stylish.
I am asking for less than half of what I paid because I want to sell it ASAP! The original price tag on the dress was $4000, but (like a smart shopper!) I got it on sale post-season.
Am happy to have people come see the dress, or will ship it.
- DRESS ALTERATIONS
- bodice not altered; skirt shortened slightly to about 5'8" (including heels). Also I had the tailor create a custom bustle to showcase the sashes!
- VEIL / HEADPIECE DESCRIPTION
- I have a peacock feather fascinator and birdcage veil that match the dress (the fascinator has a pin on it that has same design as the dress bodice). I bought this on etsy for $100 and am happy to pass on for $40.
