- DRESS DETAILS
-
This dress is from 2008 pronovias collection. It’s a very flattering dress if you’ve got curves! I’m including my own pictures to give you an idea on how the dress looks on someone who does not have a skinny model-like body. I am fairly tall (5’7) and I was around 235 lb on my wedding day. But I felt absolutely gorgeous! The elegant style and forgiving color made me look slimmer and prettier. The fabric of the dress reminds a semi-sheer shimmering organza. I hope I don’t make it sound cheep because the material is truly delicate and beautiful. It’s elegant but in the same time it’s appropriately sparkly for the occasion. I love the color – it’s called champaign, and it’s soft and kind of creamy goldish. For those of you who are not thrilled with regular white, this dress is an amazing choice – the color is just beautiful. The corset is covered with ivory lace appliqués and beading all over the appliqués. There are same beading appliqués on the skirt and train of the dress. Another distinct detail of the dress is that the lace is lighter than the fabric of the dress (ivory as opposed to champaign) which creates a beautiful contrast of the materials. The dress closes on the back with hidden zipper and a lot of small buttons which gives a dress a very sophisticated look. The train is medium length and can be easily lifted and buttoned up for walking and dancing. I include matching long Spanish-style veil and a bolero (lace jacket), exactly as shown on the pronovias pictures. The bolero, which is really a lace jacket, is made of the matching lace and fully covered with beadings. The veil’s edges (all over the perimeter) is encrusted with the same lace with beading.
I had the dress professionally dried cleaned.
- DRESS ALTERATIONS
- The only change I made – I added beaded straps to the dress. I wanted to feel comfortable – strapless just makes me anxious.
- VEIL / HEADPIECE DESCRIPTION
- I include matching long Spanish-style veil and a bolero (lace jacket), exactly as shown on the pronovias pictures. I also have matching shoes in size 10. They were custom made: dyed to shampaign color and encrusted with lace and beading from the dress. If shoe size matches to yours, I’ll throw in the shoes to the deal. I have pictures of the shoes, please let me know if you’re interested, I’ll email them to you.
- PRESERVATION METHOD
- I had the dress professionally dried cleaned next day after the wedding. It's as good as new.
