Monique Lhuillier Rosette
This is the Rosette gown by Monique L'Huillier (worn once by me at my wedding in June 2005 :). It appeared in her 2005 collection with wide shoulder straps in the rosette lace and a wide sash, but I ordered it in strapless a-line and used a plain thin ribbon (that I purchased elsewhere) at the waist. I have not included the ribbon in the sale because it was fairly wrinkled after the wedding, but they can be found fairly easily in wedding accessory or fabric stores. You could also purchase a wider sash in a complementary color, as the dress appeared in her line. The dress is ivory, but as you can see it photographs fairly white. The gown is silk with a lace overlay.

I ordered the dress through Kleinfeld in Brooklyn, NY. The dress was immediately dry-cleaned and placed in a box after the wedding. The dress is in excellent condition - the only mark (probably soil) is on the bottom edge of the silk part of the dress towards the back where the train starts, smaller than a pea which is barely noticeable because the lace is on top of it. The very bottom edge of the lace hem is very very slightly darker ivory due to regular wear (probably when I had pictures taken in the garden) - I tried to photograph this though and it didn't even show in a picture.

The dress is a size 8 - I wear a 6 in regular clothes and was just under a 6 (closer to a 4) for the wedding. I had the bodice of the dress taken in slightly to suit me (my bust is about 34B but possibly a little smaller at the time of the wedding). No alterations were made to the length of the dress - I am 5'9' and wore heels that were about 2.5' tall. Since the dress is an a-line, it is forgiving in the hips.

The train of the dress is fairly short--the dress is about 9' longer in the back than the front. The train bustles with one tie.

The back closes with a zipper. I also had two small clips sewn inside the back of the dress, which clipped onto my strapless bra so that it didn't come out of the top of the dress.

It's an absolutely beautiful gown that I loved wearing, but there's no sense letting it sit in a box forever, so it's time for it to go to a new loving home!

I will also include my veil if you are interested--it is a very simple 32' veil with comb, and a plain satin 1/8' edge around the bottom that matches the underskirt of the dress (ivory silk). It did not come from Monique L'Huillier (it was custom made).
