Dress purchased from Vera Wang in NYC. The scallop shaped lace details on this gown are extraordinary. Gorgeous from the back (which is what everyone sees!) Even prettier with the bustle. The dress is orginally strapless but I ordered the exact lace from Vera Wang and had the seamstress make sheer cap "sleeves" to add a vintage touch (and suffice the Catholic tradition). - DRESS ALTERATIONS
- Only slight tucks at the bust line this dress was hardly altered at all. Length shortend a bit. Replaced grossgain ribbon with satin. Ribbon/Bow is removeable. All alterations made by Vera Wang seamstress so they are TOP quality.
- VEIL / HEADPIECE DESCRIPTION
- Cathedral- Simple sheer w/ organza ribbon trim and detachable blusher. Pearl and rinestone headband available.All purchased at Kleinfields in NYC.($600 value)
- PRESERVATION METHOD
- Perfect condition - no wine, no mud, no dirt. Preserved by Meurice Garment Care- the best for gowns in NYC. They have it cleaned, pressed and ready to go. They are also currently storing the dress until it sells.
