This was the dress of my dreams and I was so lucky to find it! It is very romantic- an all lace heirloom-worthy piece with modern touches. The silhouette is a "modified A-line" (my seamstress took it in a bit at the hips to be more like a flattering trumpet silhouette) with a fully French Alencon Lace bodice and skirt. I had her leave the fabric uncut along the hip (invisible) so that it can be let out if needed. ***I also kept the trimmings from the length alteration so that this dress can be lengthened, if needed. Since it is all lace, it is possible to add length with the matching lace and seams are camouflaged. The details of this dress is what makes it so exquisite, from the eyelash lace fringe along the top edge and the scalloped edge all along the bottom edge & train. There are multiple lace patterns for the different parts of the dress (bust, bodice, skirt) that seamlessly blend together to complement your curves. The silk organza flower detailing at the natural waist adds a fresh and organic feel to the overall heirloom look. My seamstress added a French bustle, which complimented the dress design very well and looked very classic. I wore this dress for my June 2009 wedding and heard endless compliments and felt truly beautiful in it.
