I bought this dress for my summer wedding at a castle. I absolutely love the dress, but decided at the last minute that I really wanted to wear a more traditional ball gown given the setting and formality of the event. It's brand new, never worn with tags, ready for a bride who will love it as much as I do.
Description from Alvina Valenta: Ivory silk duchess satin soft fluted bridal gown with a strapless soft V-neckline. Ivory silk satin organza overlay on bodice accented by jeweled appliques at the front and back empire waist and center back godet. Silk satin organza godet at center back skirt and hemline. Covered buttons and loops over zipper down center back, sweep train.
- DRESS ALTERATIONS
- I had minor alterations done when I still thought I would wear the dress. It was taken in just a little at the top to prevent it from slipping down, and I also had a French bustle done in the back, which looks gorgeous. (No hemming was done-- I'm 5'4" and I wore 4 inch heels at my fittings.) The dress is a size 12 and I'm usually a size 6 or 8 in street clothes.
- VEIL / HEADPIECE DESCRIPTION
- I am including the veil I purchased for use with this gown. It's a two tier elbow length veil with ribbon edging by Illusions Bridal Veils. It matches the gown exactly.
