This Reem Acra wedding gown was part of the haute couture bridal collection and I immediately fell in love. I bought the dress straight from the Reem Acra showroom in NYC. Reem Acra herself helped me with my purchase. It is the rich duchess silk satin Reem Acra trademark material which is label-exclusive. The entire dress is handwoven by very intricate, gorgeous embroidery with Swarovski crystals, beading and silver threading. I was told this is one of the reasons for the huge cost of her dresses, they are all beaded by hand! The front center hemline, arms and back are graced with the same intricate crystal pattern as the bodice. The bottom is a full ball gown with a stunning train and is breathtaking when bustled (no worries when dancing, walking, pictures, etc.). There were no alterations. It is in excellent condition and was professionally cleaned and preserved by the "cleaners to the stars" in Manhattan (Madame Paulette). I originally paid $10,500.00, and it was truly worth every penny! I hope another bride will enjoy this dress as much as I did! I tried taking good pictures but have really not done the dress justice.
