Size is roughly a size 4 after a couple of minor alterations.  I have priced it right since it is less than half of my cost. This gown represents simply stated elegance and sophistication.New York City stylist assisted me in the selection of this gown and made a home run. I was looking for a dress which would make "me" shine, not just the dress. The 100% natural fiber white silk picks up the light so elegantly and timelessly and will make you shine will elegance. There is a very fine line of very small and tasteful beads just below the bust line which captures the light so pretty at the empire waist. The natural silk fibers are arranged in such a flattering way, facing each other in the two front bodice panels, and this is what really makes the dress so special. Everyone wanted a closer look when I wore it and asked what the material was because it was so delicately feminine and stunning in a very classic and stately way. I was told it looked like something Carolyn Kennedy (JFK Jr's wife) would wear... exactly the look I was going for! The silk has a really nice weight to it and drapes so elegantly that it can be worn for a very formal cathedral wedding with a big reception... or, it is simple enough to be worn for a simple wedding with a small, intimate reception (when bustled, the dress does not get in the way).The gown hugs the waist nicely to show off your shape and then falls so elegantly just below the hips to lend a classic look to the skirt. It does not look trumpet, at all. It has a big enough skirt to make a statement yet your figure will not be lost in it like a big ballroom skirt would do. This dress will femininely compliment a nice figure yet it is forgiving and flattering for someone who is bigger in the hips.
