This strappy halter neck empire waist gown by designer Janet Nelson Kumar is made from a very light and exquisite French Lace over a Silk Charmeuse. The narrow a-line skirt includes godets which give lots of volume at the hem (see picture of hem detail). The front has a halter neckline, but the straps don't tie behind the neck. Instead, they attach to the back of the dress like any regular spaghetti straps (see picture).
