Dress Description:

beautiful yet comfortable! this dress was worn once in january, 2009, and there were no major stains on it. it was professionally drycleaned and boxed, also in january. it has been kept in the box since the cleaning. there is one zipper, hidden in a side seam. there are no internal corsets or anything to make you uncomfortable. i was amazed that i didn't have to continually pull up my dress even though i'm pretty small-chested :) it is an amazingly comfortable dress, even when dancing! the texture (abstract floral design) makes it appear heavy, but it's not. it was cool during our outdoor wedding; it was at least 75 degrees on my wedding day. one of the nicest details about the gown is the inside lining, which is a beautiful ivory colored silk. the designer paid attention to all the details. the measurements provided are approximations. i have the original receipt, but it does not indicate the measurements from the alterations.

Dress Alterations:

the neckline was changed from a straight strapless to a modified sweetheart. the back of the dress was lowered. it was originally straight across, similar to the front of the dress. light padding was added to the bust, but they are easily removed. the bustle is simple; eye hooks are underneath the dress so that the small train can be changed to appear like an even hemline. the hemline was shortened to accomodate me, 5'8" including my heels.
