Dress Details

This beautiful dress features a vertically ruched bodice. Under the bodice, there is a one-inch wide empire waist band embellished with beads, crystals and sequins. The skirt is floor-length, unadorned, and elegant. The attached petticoat provides volume and great motion while dancing! Less "hippy" girls than me could remove the petticoat and create a sleeker silhouette. The dress includes optional, removable spaghetti straps.

Dress Alterations

The upper bodice was left alone (37"), but the crystal band around my ribcage was taken in about two inches (to 27"). The waist area is slightly lower and slightly wider than the crystal band (28") The hips were let out less than one inch (to 39"). The dress was hemmed to a height of 5'11" in front, increasing to 6'0" in the back.

The dress included a train when purchased. I had the train removed, but will send the extra fabric so you have it available for alterations.

Veil / Headpiece Description

Sorry, the veil was my "something borrowed"... so it's not included with the gown!

Preservation Method

The wedding was in October 2009. Since then, the dress has been stored in my closet in a garment bag.
