The "Jeanette" was the centerpiece of an editorial fashion spread in Town & Country Weddings Magazine in 2008. It is classic and timeless. Purchased as a sample from an upscale boutique. It is from the Badgley Mischka 2006 bridal collection, which was "current" until the beginning of 2009. Never worn outside the store or altered. Tags still on with bag of extra beads. A-line, princess seams, spaghetti straps. Made from the finest quality silk duchess satin, and tastefully embellished on the bodice with crystals and small beads. The work is eye catching but not gaudy. I felt like a ballerina floating on air when I wore it. The fabric is truly a dream, and Badgley Mischka quality speaks for itself. Looks great on smaller (mine) and larger (the runway model's) busts. Built in crinoline underskirt. Silhouette skims the hips and is sexy without mobility impairment. Train lends itself to an elegant French bustle. Its sophisticated line avoids an overly youthful, Barbie look. The color, weight and style are suitable for year round use. The gown is visibly wrinkled in the photos. (For reasons I don't understand, the images of the try on are sepia-toned.) I have opted not to subject the dress to the added handling that steaming would require in order to take new ones. It does not require cleaning. A few of the drop crystals need repair/replacement, which is standard work with wedding gown alteration packages.
