Dress Description:

New Alvina Valenta dress #9913 from her spring 2009 collection for sale! Alvina Valenta dresses are romantic, soft and feminine, and the designer's attention to detail is exquisite. This dress has all of these elements; it's an ivory silk satin organza dress with a modified sweetheart neckine (in between scoop and sweetheart), has a dropped waist bodice with a three tiered skirt, and there are three flowers at the center back. There is a zipper in the back, but when you wear the dress, you only see covered buttons that loop over this zipper, running all the way down to the bottom of the dress. The website says that it has a sweep train, but I think it's a bit longer than chapel-length. I ordered this dress in ivory organza with eggshell (soft white) satin underneath, so together, it appears as soft/light ivory.

There is a small (~1mm) mark near the zipper in the back- I think this was from the big clips that they used at the bridal shop when I tried it on for the first time (dress came in size 6 which was a bit big for me near the chest, so they used one big clip to show me what it'll look like after alteration). It should be easily removed.

I have always dreamed of wearing an Alvina Valenta dress on my wedding day (and that's why I purchased it)- but because I had to change my wedding venue and am now getting married in a different country, I will be renting a more traditional-looking dress in that country (high neckline, etc.). I love this dress, and I really hope that another bride-to-be can look gorgeous in it on her wedding day!

* in the last picture (picture of me), I used photoshop to add some accessories and delete my long hair in the front. This was the dress that they had in the store (size 10 in white), NOT the one I'm selling!
