Deceivingly simple, this dress is very old Hollywood glam! However, it doesn't have a vintage feel, but a refreshingly modern take on it. It's a couture dress that's all about the fabric and drapery. The duchess satin has a lovely sheen that's not as harsh as a bright white and photographs beautifully. I couldn't believe how many compliments I got on the dress! The main style is an A-line strapless gown, but it has a bit more curve on the bust, almost a sweetheart, that's really flattering. The fabric drapes down to a little faux pearl near the left hip area and then dramatically sweeps down. I'm 5'4" and I wore 3.5" heels with the front hem hitting just above the floor. I LOVE the back of the dress which is a bit lower than usual, and there are nine satin buttons and exquisite darts that have a stunning elegance to it. It was very comfortable and rather lighter than I thought when worn all day. I wish I could keep it, but I figured it's a shame not to have someone else wear and enjoy this beautiful gown!
