Dress Description:
I hope this wedding gown can make you as happy as it made me (and my husband). After trying on a few dresses that were completely different styles from this one, the sales girl asked me to try on this "mermaid dress." I had no interest in a "mermaid dress," but humored her. To my shock, this was the most flattering dress I've ever worn! It sucks in the stomach and gives a beautiful curve in the waistline. It accentuates the hips (this probably isn't the best dress for someone with big hips) and it pushes up the chest.

Dress Alterations:

I have big boobs and a smaller waist, so I had to go with a bigger size and alter it to fit. My chest is a 36D and my waist is about 30", so I took it in on the waist and the chest as well from the original size. I'm 5'6 and the heels worn with the dress were about 1.5", so the length was slightly taken up. The thing about buying a dress that is bigger than your size is you can easily alter it to fit your body. It's much easier to take it in then let it out. This dress already has a bustle (which you can see in one of my pictures). This will save you about $150 (I guess depending on your location/seamstress). It is the bustle with a button that you put through a loop, very easy for your bridesmaids to do.

Veil/Headpiece Description:

I have the original veil, let me know if you're interested in that. It is very simple with a thinly lined ribbon on the edge. Also, I thought this dress needed an extra spark, so I had a champagne colored sash made with material that I purchased. These sashes retail for about $300, I had it made for $140. Let me know if you're interested in that as well, I'm happy to work out an affordable deal for one of the accessories or both!
