This is a new, never-worn wedding gown by London-based couture designer Suzanne Neville. I fell in love with this dress at first sight, but we ended up having to push back our wedding date and I had to find something better suited to chilly weather. So, this gown has never been worn and I would love for another bride to be able to enjoy it!
Some details on the gown: The style is understated and elegant with a slim silhouette. Suzanne Neville lists the design as "Spellbound," the color as Ivory, and the fabric as their proprietary Italian Satin. The dress was handmade in Great Britain. It is strapless with a sweetheart neckline, a fit-and-flare style with some ruching and a mid-cut back, and is floor-length with a puddle train. The gown drapes beautifully! The bodice is boned so it will stay up comfortably on its own, with light cups (removable) sewn into the bust so there is bust support and no bra is needed. I added a crystal belt (sparkly clear gemstones with a silver-colored setting), but it is removable should you wish. (Right now there is a light fabric sewn over top of the belt to protect it - you'll see this in the photos - it is meant to be removed.) There are fabric-covered buttons up the back of the dress. (My seamstress told me that if I didn't want to deal with buttoning and unbuttoning, she could add a hidden panel with a zipper - I thought this was a great tip and worth passing along.) I had light alterations done, but otherwise the dress is as I purchased it, and in excellent unworn/new condition.
Dimensions and fit: I am a somewhat narrow body shape with a 34 B bust and am 5'7 without heels. The length from the top of the cups to the bottom of the front of the gown is 54 inches, and from the middle of the back to the end of the train is 65 inches. The waist is about 12.5 inches across laid flat, with an appx. 25 inch circumference. It is about 18 inches across the hips when laid flat.
The photos are of me trying on the dress in the boutique where I bought it, and of it hanging up in my room. (*Please Note: The lighting in my room makes the gown look a bit more like a cream color. It's much more white-toned, as you'll see in the photos where I was trying it on in the boutique.)
I hope you love it as much as I did!
