Everyone loves Charleston!

With its rich history, graceful Southern charm and gorgeous architecture, it’s easy to see why people love Charleston.  And it’s no wonder Susan Sarandon’s daughter, Eva Amurri, choose the location for her October 29th wedding.

Eva took her love of Charleston one step further when she selected a Lela Rose custom gown based on Rose’s “The Woods” dress.

The seven gowns  from Lela Rose’s Fall 2012 collection were inspired by the beautiful places to get married in Charleston. Eva fell in love with a picture of the gown and asked Lela Rose to create a custom version for her.  A Charleston wedding and a Charleston inspired dress.  It was just meant to be.

Nikki Reed’s wedding dress took bling to the next level!

The Twilight star’s ivory colored mermaid gown was made with more than 100 carats of diamonds.  (Whoa). Instead of silk wrapped buttons, the dress had diamond covered buttons, and also featured a diamond encrusted and brooch at the neckline.  I guess that’s what happens when you get a world famous jeweler to design your wedding gown!

In addition to all the bling, the dress had a 72 inch train. (For comparison, Kate Middleton’s was 105 inches). No doubt Nikki felt like a princess in her dress too.

Molly Sims and Scott Stuber were married on September 26th in a simple, elegant affair held in Napa Valley.

 I love the fact that yet another celebrity has embraced the trend away from strapless.

Molly wore a modified (notice the difference at the neckline) Marchesa Isadora gown from the spring 2012 collection.  The gown was perfect for her (supermodel) figure and featured a sheer neckline, appliquéd cascade sleeve and delicate buttons up the back.  Beautiful and oh so romantic.  No doubt she felt as beautiful as she looked.

Amy Smart and handsome handyman Carter Oosterhouse were married on September 10, 2011 at their gorgeous house in Traverse City, Michigan.

Her outdoor celebration was full of eco-conscious details like locally grown flowers and food, recycled paper products and DIY details.  She wore a Carolina Herrera Columbine gown – a perfect fit for the relaxed venue and style.

Columbine is v-neck, silk and ruffled chiffon wrap dress with a satin ribbon belt and chapel train. Simply beautiful.  No wonder Carter said “when I saw her it was the most amazing moment of my life.”
