14 Wedding Dresses We Love

What makes a bride unforgettable?

It’s usually the first peek of a bride in her gown that delivers the most memorable moment for her groom and guests, a lasting impression that lingers long after her walk down the aisle.

Celebrity brides aren’t any different – really! They just have more pressure to please a global audience of curious onlookers (and perhaps some A-List wedding guests!) We polled our PreOwned team of experienced wedding dress enthusiasts and came up with a strictly modern list of gowns we recently gushed over, all for different reasons.

One thing all the brides have in common, however?  They chose the dress of their dreams – and it shows.

Romance done right!  We loved the romance of this Ines Di Santo lace overlay gown with and gorgeous off the shoulder neckline.

There was plenty of fabric in this custom, vintage-inspired Valentino tulle gown, but instead of overwhelming the actress it made her look ethereal.

It’s not just due to our personal connection (Kim purchased her gown directly from PreOwnedWeddingDresses.com) that this Baracci dress made our list: we love how the exquisitely detailed gown perfectly complimented the reality star’s big personality.

An impeccable figure helps, but Eva Amurri’s Lela Rose dress was a sexy yet sophisticated standout thanks to its stunning lace neckline and back detailing.

Mrs. Lachey’s two-piece Monique Lhuillier gown showed how well two contrasts – an embellished lace corset combined with a hand tuffed silk skirt – could look paired together.

Every bride wants to be a rockstar on her wedding day – now what if you were marrying one? Model Lily Aldridge wed her ‘Kings of Leon’ fiance in a simple yet beautiful strapless Vera Wang mermaid dress, perfectly complimenting her classic beauty.

Obtaining ‘blushing bride’ status is easy, if you are marrying in a blush coloured Monique Lhuillier bodice constructed with Chantilly lace and completed with a tulle- draped skirt.

Hand cut bias flanges made of organza gave this former first daughters’ skirt such pretty movement, and we love how the unexpected touch of an embellished belt brings it all together. Bravo!

Donald’s daughter made a strong yet sentimental statement with her beautiful Grace-Kelly-inspired gown by Vera Wang.

Backless, pink, and tutu might sound like three design elements you may not want to mix together, but Zac Posen’s dress for Portia de Rossi stunned with its modern fairy-tale glamour.

Adornments are always eye-catching, but when a bride knows what she wants – in this case, perfectly simple for a beachfront wedding- it works

Jessica Simpson just beamed in this custom Vera Wang beaded gown, which complimented her curves and her all-American appeal.

Being the daughter of a designer has to have perks, like a custom Ralph Lauren dress that was part whimsy, part elegance and part fantasy and entirely breathtaking.

Tradition always has its time and place, but when dresses take a detour from typically expected style, a bride can really soar (literally in this case!) We loved this Missoni dress with its pop of blue beading on the bodice.

What Goes Around Comes Around. Beyonce’s Baracci Is For Sale!

A dress is just a dress until a bride dons it and brings it to life. But some gowns have a glory all their own, like the beautiful Baracci dress worn by Beyonce in her memorable music video “Best Thing I Never Had” and recently listed for sale on PreOwnedWeddingDresses.com.

This Baracci dress exudes custom luxury, as is fitting for its prominent role in a video made by one of the world’s reigning music stars. Off-white with flecks of gold, the ballgown silhouette is hand-draped double silk. It features a sweetheart neckline and is embroidered with French Lace and generously covered with shimmering hand-sewn Swarovski pendants and crystals.

Beyonce reportedly stumbled on the dress while walking by the wedding designer’s boutique in Beverly Hills and asked to wear it in her video, but she isn’t the first celebrity to select Baracci for a prominent press moment. Nor is this the first time PreOwnedWedding Dresses.com has been connected with a celebrity wedding dress. Real Housewives of Atlanta star Kim Zolciak purchased a gorgeous Baracci wedding gown for her 2011 wedding through our listing service.

Like the woman who wears it, every wedding dress has a story to tell.  We hope someday to hear more from the bride who ultimately brings this Baracci gown, (with an amazing Queen B backstory) to real life!
